Now We Are Six by A.A. Milne

When I was One,
I had just begun.
When I was Two,
I was nearly new.

When I was Three,
I was hardly Me.

When I was Four,
I was not much more.

When I was Five,
I was just alive

But now I am Six, I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever.

Christmas

We had such an odd Christmas this year. It was the first year we didn't have all of the girls under one roof at the same time. We DID see them all, but Stephanie's visit was all about the power outage and was elongated at the beginning. So she ended up not being able to make it back for the actual Christmas Day.

Tian was thrilled with her Christmas of baby doll things, cars, and the Wii! She loves her Dora game, her CARS game and most of all, Wii Fit. She has learned the new world of exercise and absolutely loves it! Who knew?

Love

About a week ago, Tian asked me, "Mommy how far do the numbers go?" I wasn't sure how to answer the question because I don't really know the answer. But this is what I said, "The numbers go on and on. And when they reach the highest number, they make more. The numbers go on forever."

A few hours later when I was kissing her good-night, she said, "Mommy, I love you until the numbers stop!"

Talking to God

Tian has been praying about the people of the world lately. And she is never quite sure how to get her point across so that God understands.

Thursday evening:
Dear God,
.... and I pray for all the people on the map, not just the people in North Carolina but on the whole map, South America and everywhere. Do you git it God? Do you git it??

Friday evening:
Dear God,
... and I pray for all the people all over the map, not just the people in North Carolina but in the whole world, on the whole map. Everyone who gits it, raise your hand! (So I raised my hand) And then she said, "Mommy do you think God is raising His hand?"

Where does she come up with this?

Another Birthmother Post

Tian and I had a conversation today about her birthmother. She tries to understand about China adoption and the lack of information. She knows we don't know her birthmother's name, so she thought we could just send a letter to her and write on it "a Chinese woman" and she would get it!

Me: If you were going to write a letter to your birthmother in China what would you say?

Tian: I don't know!

Me: I would want to thank her....

Later that evening...

Me: So have you thought about what you would say?

Tian: I would thank her for carrying me in her tummy. And I would say I'm happy where I am!

Me: Speechless...

Voting!

We voted! I did it in the early voting and Steve went today. Tian went along to vote in "Kids Vote". We had a discussion about it. I showed her who both of them were on a news show on television. She said, "I'm voting for the dawk skinned one because he looks mo' like a pwesident!" And there you have it!
